I would like to suggest a positive "spin" in the naming, I agree "unemployed" is negative, it's yesterday's word and outdated.

Here's a few for consideration:

- Professional for New Beginnings

- Professionals in Transition 

- Professionals Re-Inventing Ourselves (or something like this)

- Professionals Making Changes

Anything that echoes new direction, new opportunities and supports having a future.

OK, everyone... put on your thinking caps. My friends and I are looking for a name for our group. It's geared toward unemployed professionals and, hence, currently called the "Unemployed Professionals Group." The acronym UP is not too bad, but some think that using "unemployed" in the title may have a negative impact on the members. We thought of "Professionals in Transition," but the acronym PIT can have positive (PIT stop - get the tires changed, refresh/regroup) or negative (arm pit? pit of despair?) connotations. Any ideas for a re-name? I know you guys will come up with some great suggestions, so thanks in advance for any feedback. =)
