I'm new to the group and thrilled to be a part of it.
My name is Dione. Everyone calls me Dee. I'm a brand-new real estate investor.
My husband and I have found an organization that's pretty much a one-stop-shop real estate investing. It's called Nouveau Riche University (NRU). Don't worry...you don't have to go to school for the next four years to benefit from it!
NRU includes real estate education. It is the ONLY real estate investment education company to have received the American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendation. They teach the investment, financing and tax information people like Trump, Gates and all the other big boys know about.
NRU also includes a team of people who find the properties, provide the financing, find tenants for the properties and find the property management companies to run them.
The company also offers a program to earn money before or while you're buying investment properties.
No, I'm not kidding.
Right now, the company's "real estate experts" (that's what they call them) services about 80% of the U.S. The business model is based on the philosophies of a guy named Robert Kiyosaki, who wrote a book called "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." (Run, don't walk to your nearest Borders book store and read it immediately!) My husband read it three years ago and it completely changed his attitudes about money.
When my husband realized that this company is based on those same principles, we were done looking for our path to wealth. We've always known we'd achieve wealth via real estate investing, but we were unsure about how to do it smartly and with the best guidance possible.
This is it.
We have two mentors: One of them is about to close on just over 600 acres of land in Alabama -- on which he and his development partners will build a masterplan community. He's able to do this because of the success he's had with NRU. In just 18-months, he and his partner/wife have gone from renting an apartment, being several thousand in debt and having zero real estate investments, to now owning their own home facing the Pacific Ocean in Redondo Beach, having earned over $1.2 million in cash and having $8 million in investment properties.
Not bad for 18-month-old rookies!
Our other mentor is about to complete his second year as a real estate investor. He's purchased five wholesale properties, and fired his boss four months ago -- forever.
My husband and I are planning to close escrow on our first investment property by the end of January 2008. This investment property will be kind of special, though. We're going to buy it in New Orleans, and give it away to a family (to-be-determined) that was adversely affected by Hurricane Katrina.
This is one of the many benefits of NRU -- paying it forward. We already know there's money to be made in the real estate game, but we wanted to raise the stakes a bit. The commitment to give this house away really lights us up. ..incredibly motivating.
Another reason we've chosen the NRU system is to ensure that I'm never in a position to have someone else determining my earning capacity, and to make sure everyone we know -- whether very well or remotely -- knows about this opportunity. Pay it forward, and all. Thirty-year gigs concluding with gold watches and pension plans are not a reality anymore. And even if they were, that's still not how the wealthy become wealthy.
So, what does all this have to do with you?
Well, if you're working for a company and you want to fire it --NRU is for you.
If you're being paid based on what your job is worth vs. being paid based on what you are worth -- NRU is for you.
If you understand the value in real estate investing and want to make money in it regardless of what's happening with the market -- NRU is for you. (That was a big one for me...).
